Clear coverage for every purchase from Costco Home Appliances.
Overview
- New items: Covered by the manufacturer warranty stated on the product page.
- Open-Box / Refurbished: Costco Home Appliances limited warranty for 90 days from delivery against mechanical defects.
- DOA (dead on arrival): Report within 30 days of delivery for expedited replacement or refund after inspection.
What’s Covered
- Manufacturer defects in materials or workmanship.
- Functional failure of covered components under normal residential use.
- Parts and, where stated by the brand or our store warranty, reasonable labor.
Not Covered
- Improper installation, incorrect electrical/water/gas supply, or code violations.
- Misuse, neglect, commercial use, or unauthorized repairs/modifications.
- Cosmetic damage after delivery, dents/scratches not noted on the BOL at delivery.
- Consumables and wear items (filters, bulbs, trays, cosmetic panels).
- Damage from floods, power surges, pests, or other external causes.
How to File a Claim
- Email info@costcohomeappliances.com or call +1 (908) 395-0621.
- Provide order number, model/serial, photos/video of the issue, and a description of symptoms.
- Receive a Return Authorization (RA) or service instructions. Diagnostics may be required.
- For approved returns, pack in original packaging if available and follow the provided shipping or service steps.
- After inspection, we arrange repair, replacement, or refund at our discretion. Refunds post within 5–7 business days.
Shipping & Service
- For verified warranty defects, no restocking fee applies.
- Return shipping or onsite service may be covered for approved claims; we will issue a prepaid label or carrier pickup when applicable.
- If the unit is found not defective or excluded, shipping and service costs are the customer’s responsibility.
Installation & Proof of Purchase
- Keep your receipt and shipping paperwork; serials must match the order.
- Professional installation may be required by certain brands to maintain coverage; save invoices.
- Do not remove or tamper with serial labels or seals.
Limits & Your Rights
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the purchase price of the product. This warranty gives you specific legal rights; you may have other rights that vary by state.
